Mr. Chris Luke Visits Yaqan Nukiy

The students of Yaqan Nukiy were privileged to hear from Chris Luke Sr., former Chief of the Lower Kootenay Indian Band. Mr. Luke presented excerpts from his new book, The Yaqan Nukiy, a history of the indigenous people of the Lower Kootenay. He shared a retelling of the creation myth and other stories from the Yaqan Nukiy people.
